Assignment 5: Script Tools

The following tools require users to draw a triangle.

Then, using the tool, the following points, circles, or additional triangles will be appropriately added to your construction.

Centroid - the point of concurrency of the medians of a triangle.

Orthocenter - the point of concurrency of the altitudes of a triangle.

Circumcenter - the point of concurrency of the perpendicular bisectors of a triangle.

Circumcircle - a circle that passes through all three vertices of a triangle.

Incenter - the point of concurrency of the angle bisectors in a triangle.

Incircle - a circle inscribed in a triangle

Orthic Triangle - the triangle formed by connecting the feet of the altitudes of a triangle

Orthocenter, Mid-segment triangle - the triangle formed by connecting the vertices of the midpoints of the segments that run from the orthocenter to the vertices.

Medial Triangle - the triangle formed by connecting the midpoints of the sides of a triangle

Pedal Triangle - the triangle formed by selecting a point in the plane, constructing perpendicular lines from that point to the three sides of the triangle, and connecting the 3 points of intersection with the triangle

9 point circle - a circle with 9 special points, each being the vertex of a special type of triangle

The following tools require users to draw a segment(s).

Then, using the tool, the following points or polygons will be appropriately added to your construction.

Equilateral Triangle, given one side length

Divide a segment into the golden ratio

Construct a square for a given side length

Isosceles triangle, given a base and an altitude

Trisect a segment

The following tools require users to draw a segment and an angle.

Then, using the tool, the following locus will be appropriately added to your construction.

Locus of Vertex of Angle
